Each year, Student Leaders are chosen to represent over 10,000 students at the University of New Brunswick, taking on the responsibility of leading the Union.

The UNBSU conducts two elections annually, the general election occurs during the Winter Semester, and another in the Fall Semester known as the by-election.

During these events, students have the chance to elect major representatives for the upcoming school year.
