Food Pantry
To ensure that students at the University of New Brunswick have access to healthy, nutritious food at zero cost.
What is the Food Pantry?
The UNBSU Campus Food Pantry is dedicated to supporting the UNB community and working collectively to attain greater food security for students. In collaboration with Greener Village, the Food Bank is committed to providing UNB undergraduate/part-time students with a range of food items, including non-perishable goods, and perishable food items.
Where is it located?
The Food Pantry is located in SUB Room 225 of the Student Union building in the hallway up the stairs above the Student Union (near the radio station)
What are the hours?
The Food pantry runs on a set basis, meaning that students are able to stop by anytime that works for them during our operational hours! Operational Hours: Mondays: 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm and Wednesdays: 8:30 am - 11:00 am
How does the Food Pantry Work?
Head to the Food Pantry SUB Room 225 area during our operational hours and check in with our volunteers at the desk.
(For first-time visitors: To make things as easy as possible we recommend filling out the New Patron Intake Form prior to arriving for your first visit.) Volunteers will check you in, clarify anything regarding procedure, and answer any questions you may have.Enter the food pantry and select your items in accordance with the signage in the food bank dictating how much of each type of item is allowed to be taken per visit. After which, you will head back to the volunteer desk so they may verify all items are within limits.
You’re all set to go! Come visit us again soon! Maximum visits 2 visits per person per month
Note: Locker pick-up is still available, with the same guidelines in place. Please complete the new Patron Intake Form before your first pick-up. You’ll receive an email once your bag is ready.A new intake form is required for every locker pick-up request.
