Meet Monica Boutot
Monica Boutot is the Vice President of Student Engagement at the UNB Student Union and a student in the Faculty of Management, pursuing an Honours in Accounting with a concentration in Marketing. Originally from Edmundston, NB, Monica is passionate about creating fun, inclusive, and accessible experiences for students.
In her role, Monica leads major campus events such as Kick-Off, Red n’ Black Revue, Winter Carnival, and themed weeks like Sustainability Week and Wellness Week. She handles everything from planning and logistics to collaborating with campus partners to bring events to life.
Her goal this year is to deliver engaging, affordable programming that helps students unwind and feel more connected to their community. She’s committed to increasing free and low-cost opportunities that allow all students to get involved without financial stress.
Since joining the SU after COVID, Monica has held roles with Orientation, the Welcome Centre, and as Off-Campus Rep. She hopes to carry the leadership skills she’s gained into her future career and beyond.
