UNB Sustainability

UNB Sustainability is a program dedicated to advancing the University of New Brunswick as a socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable institution. Through collaborative efforts with internal and external partners, we undertake various projects to enhance sustainability on the Fredericton and Saint John campuses. Our initiatives encompass academic, engagement, operational, planning, and administrative aspects, involving students, staff, and faculty in fostering a culture of sustainability.

Our overarching goal is to inspire sustainable actions and promote green living within the UNB community.

A key focus of UNB Sustainability lies in student-centered programming, exemplified by events like Sustainability Week, Green UNB, the Residence Energy Challenge, the Student Sustainability Fund, Bike to Campus Week, the Great Bike Giveaway, and the Hydroponic Greenhouse. Explore our Get Involved section on the website to learn more about the programs we offer.

The UNBSU and UNB Sustainability have partnered to create the Student Sustainability Fund (SSF) for the UNB Fredericton Campus. The SSF provides students with the opportunity to make a meaningful and sustainable impact at UNB. Individual students as well as clubs and societies are welcome to apply for funding to support their sustainable projects on campus!
