As a full-time undergraduate student at UNB (taking three courses or more),
you are automatically enrolled in the Student Health & Dental insurance plan through WeSpeakStudent (including Co-op students and International Students).

Here’s how to Opt-Out:
All opt-outs must be done online here (NOTE: There is no coverage if you are studying outside of Canada, so you must opt out via that link). This process must be completed every academic year, as the opt-out does not automatically carry forward from year to year. For example, if you are registered full-time in September, then another opt-out will not be necessary until the following September.
The online opt-out must be completed in its entirety and all information submitted must be accurate for the opt-out to be accepted by the UNB Student Union, UNB, and the insurance provider. It is highly recommended for you to print a copy of the confirmation for your records.
Proof of other ‘Dental’ coverage is not required.
Opt-out Deadline dates:
Fall start students: September 22nd, 2023
Winter start students: January 26th, 2024
