UNBSU Winter Carnival Series 2023
Rail Jam is a free outdoor event that is part of our Winter Carnival Series organized by the UNBSU in partnership with the UNB Ski and Board Club!
Our Après Ski event happened Saturday, February 4th at the @cellarpub at 10PM featuring DJ Codak.
On Saturday February 11th from 2:00PM-4:00PM we watched some snowboarding and skiing talent and tricks! This free event was open to the public and we had great turnout. The UNB Ski and Board Club Powered by the Radical Edge provided snacks (hot dogs, halal and veggie options) and hot chocolate, a raffle, as well as prizes for those participating in the Rail Jam event!
UNB, STU and NBCC students as well as 18+ non-students and members of the public participated and we got to see lots of cool tricks and talents in front of our very own Student Union Building!

THE GREAT SNOWPERSON BUILDING CONTEST
There is no better way to kick off the UNBSU’s Winter Carnival Series than with some classic winter fun! Grab your household bubble and get outside to build UNB’s best snowperson! Once your snowperson has taken shape, grab a photo for your chance to win some amazing prizes! The first place entry will have a choice of one of these great prizes! (1) a Nintendo Switch OLED Model, (2) an iPad (9th Generation) and Apple Pencil (1st Generation), or (3) a $500 Superstore Gift Card.
All entries will also be entered into a People's Choice Category, where students get to vote on which snowperson they like the best. The People Choice Award Winner will have a choice between one of these two great prizes that are sponsored by UNB Student Services. (1) Beats Flex - All Day Wireless Headphones, or (2) a $100 Superstore gift card.
How to enter the contest: Submit a photo of your snowperson without any humans in the photo to wintercarnival@unbsu.ca. In your email please include your name and UNB student number.
Rules: To enter the contest you must be a registered undergraduate student (full or part-time) at UNB Fredericton. Student numbers of all winners will be verified for active student status. Limit to one entry per person, and one prize per entry. For extra entries in the gift card draws follow @UNBSU on instagram and tag a friend in the comments of this post!! (**Must submit a snowperson photo to be selected as a winner**). This is a Green Event, so please dispose of accessories properly.
