+ Nisuhsane - Peer Support and Wellness Program

Description:
The Nisuhsane (“let us walk together”) project connects new to UNB Indigenous students with upper-year students (both indigenous and non-indigenous) individually or in small groups to share and benefit from each other’s experience. Nisuhsane is rooted in respect, humility and mutual exchange. Upper year students can help students new to UNB navigate the university system and discover other points of connection and interest on campus and in the greater Fredericton community. Non-indigenous participants will gain perspective on current and historical indigenous experiences and culture, including the Truth and Reconciliation process. All participants will grow through friendship, intercultural dialogue and the sharing of knowledge and experience.
