+ UNB Sustainability

Description:

UNB Sustainability is a program within Campus Operations that supports UNB in advancing as a socially, environmentally and economically sustainable institution. UNB Sustainability works on various projects, with many internal and external partners, to improve the sustainability of the UNB Fredericton and Saint John Campus. We work with students, staff and faculty to increase the sustainability of university academics, engagement, planning and administration, and operations. Our goal is to promote sustainable-action and green living at UNB.

One of the primary focuses of UNB Sustainability is student centered programming, such as Sustainability week, Green UNB, the Residence Energy Challenge, the Student Sustainability Fund, Bike to Campus Week, the Great Bike Giveaway, and the Hydroponic Greenhouse. To find out more about the programs we offered check out our “Get Involved” section on our website.

+ Safewalk

Description:

Safewalk is a program designed to provide students, visitors, and faculty of UNB safety at night by escorting them between two locations on or around campus. Users of the service may call the security office and request a Safewalk, or call the Safewalk cellphone.

Two CP's (one female and one male) will then arrive to escort the person to their intended destination. Never be afraid to ask for our help as that is what we are here for, and in many cases our service has made a noticeable difference in campus safety.
