Reasons to love UNB? We’ve got 1785.

With a history this large, you’re gonna want to be a part of it.

Founded in 1785 the University of New Brunswick stands as Canada’s oldest english speaking university, an honour filled with centuries of traditions we as students couldn’t wait to be a part of.

HOCO 2019 recap!

UNB Homecoming 2019 was celebrated by students, alumni, faculty, and staff across our beautiful campus. Through a series of wonderful events, we came together to reminisce and reflect on what it means to be a member of the UNB community, support both of our football teams at the annual homecoming game, and wear our red & black with pride.

HOCO 2018 Recap

UNBSU Campus Events took over the Friday of Homecoming 2018 to deliver an unforgettable day of celebrating our rich history, as well as the 6000 undergrads who make our campus the home it is today.

live music & Wine night on the cellar Patio

Perhaps a new Hoco tradition for UNB? This incredible night of laughs featuring student performers had the Cellar Patio packed like we’ve never seen before. Whether it was the music, friends, fresh snacks, or staying cozy in our red and black blankets that made the night such a stand out - you’ll have to come next year and see for yourself!

HOCO carnival in the quad

The rain may have moved much of the carnival indoors, nothing keeps a true RED from taking their turn on a mechanical bull! Sporting our limited edition Hoco T, students gathered in the SUB to spend the afternoon celebrating the unique and vibrant history of our university - with help from a few of our local friends of course! Goodlife, Domino’s, and Supplement King kept the crowds fed and entertained while carnival classics such as cotton candy and fresh popcorn made their way around the Atrium too!
