The UNB Student Union is raising awareness about the high cost of textbooks and additional course resources for students. The TextBroke campaign aims to collect data in order to start the conversation at UNB about alternative, cheaper resources that instructors can use to support courses.
What are Open Educational Resources?
Open educational resources (OER) are free, openly accessible documents and media that can be used to support teaching, learning, and research. These include library resources, online articles or journals, open access textbooks, videos or audio, etc.
There are many low cost or free resources that instructors could opt to use in order to reduce the already high costs of Post-Secondary Education without hindering the success of students in their courses.
The UNB Student Union is collecting information about the methods UNB students take to purchase and save on their textbooks. Please fill out the following survey to show us what you spend and how you save.
