Co-ed Reds Cheerleading
Reds Cheerleading is a competitive club team made up of students from UNB, and STU. Our season runs from September to April, with competitions starting in early February. Competitions are held across New Brunswick, as well as the Cheer Expo Grand Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
In 2011-2012, we hope to attend more competitions outside of the province. The 2010-2011 year was one of the best years for Reds Cheerleading. They placed first in their division at two competitions in Saint John. At one competition they placed 3rd out of 45 teams overall on their second day. At Cheer Expo Grand Championships in Halifax, they placed second in the University Level 6 division out of six universities. Reds makes appearances at UNB football and basketball games, as well as having fundraisers throughout the year. In past years, Reds Cheerleading was also very successful, winning several banners in the University Level 6 Team, Stunt Group, and Partner Stunt divisions.
