ArtZone

ArtZone is a student art collective for UNB, STU, NBCCD, Centre for Arts & Technology, & NBCC. The goal of ArtZone is to increase student involvement in the visual arts, to explore creative ideas, to share a variety of skill-sets, and to achieve a broader visual literacy while enriching each student’s university experience.

Discussions that result from group activities increase the students’ abilities to consider, critique, wonder, and speculate on art. More learning comes from participation in workshops, which addresses the creative process. Examples of workshops include: silk screening, pinhole photography, printmaking, felting, pottery, surface design, drawing, painting, book binding. The ArtZone studio space, which is open to all members ($15 yearly membership), is located at Memorial Hall. Workshops are also open to the general public at a higher cost.
