Help Centers
The Math Help Centre
The Math Help Centre is operated by the College of Extended Leaning. Drop in hours are located in room 422 of Tilley Hall, and are posted on their website.
This centre offers several services to students in first and second year math courses: drop in hours to help students with their assignments, free private tutoring, and job opportunities for upper year students.
You can book private tutoring sessions by calling 453-4768 if you are really struggling with the course material. The centre is staffed by upper-year students who are a well versed in mathematics and who have previously taken the regular first and second year math courses. This is definitely a resource worth taking advantage of!
Writing and Study Skills Center
The Writing and Study Skills Center functions very much like the Math Help Center. It is designed to help students at any stage of any degree program with their essay writing and study skills.
This center offers drop-in hours (posted on their website) in room 116 of the Harriet Irving Library and you can book private sessions by calling 452-6346.
This center offers regular workshops which are designed to help students improve their study skills and essay writing abilities. This is another great resource for students!
